Updated Kitty Pack!

I updated my Kitty Pack to include 6 new pages of writing prompts and activities for Pete the Cat Saves Christmas!  If you have already purchased the pack, simply go to your purchases page and download it again.  Hope you will love the new pages!

The activities are part of a pack which includes several Kitty books (Cookie's Week, Have you Seen My Cat?, Six Dinner Sid, and of course, Pete the Cat), the pack in no way replaces any of the books, nor are they stand alone activities. They are supplemental materials, for which you have to have the original book to go along with them.

Printer Love!

With the holidays approaching, a lot of us are thinking about our
list of things we want.
I wanted to share with you one of my latest purchases for my classroom, which started when my O.L.D  printer finally passed away.  You see, it was a B&W laser jet printer from back in my third grade days (at least 6 years ago)...so its passing wasn't completely unexpected.  Once I got over the initial shock, I decided I would try to buy another just like it since it had served me so well....but of course, they don't make it anymore.  SO I began to investigate new laser jet printers.  I wanted one that had great reviews and REASONABLY priced cartridges.

I decided on the

Canon imageCLASS LBP6300DN Printer

It was $119.96 with free shipping on Amazon!
I LOVE IT!  The image quality is great, it is a little louder than my other printer, but it is still awesome!!

It was super easy to hook up and one of the great things is that the cartridge it came with is not a trial or demo cartridge, it is a full size one!  I went ahead and purchased an additional cartridge and it was only $36.99 (and has a 6,500 page print yield)

I bought this printer and didn't receive anything for the review, I just wanted to share my new printer in case you are in need of one!

What We've Been Doing! Plus a Freebie!

Gobble, Gobble!

Each week we have vocabulary words which we go over and one of this week's words was "complaining".
So I asked, who complains in your house the most?
This is what a couple of my kiddos said...

Of course, there was a mom that complains....

I love the open mouth!

Surprisingly enough, dad and siblings were the number one choice in my class...and
NOT ONE teacher vote!!! lol

And then, in case you missed it, here are Miss Kindergarten's Plump and Perky Turkeys she made from my pack...LOVE them!!  Click on her name and check her post out!!!

And I couldn't resist sharing our Silly Pumpkins seen here and also over at Doodle Bugs Teaching!

Here is the complaining page in case you have that vocabulary word, too...or if you just think it is funny.

Here are some pictures of what I have done in the past for Thanksgiving!

Erica Bohrer's Hurricane Fundraiser

Erica, from Erica Bohrer's First Grade, has created a hurricane unit to answer questions and inform kids about hurricanes.  All the proceeds for the pack are going to help victims in her hometown of Lindenhurst.

She is such a cute and so sweet! Let's help her out and teach our kids at the same time!!

Plump and Perky Turkey Glyph & Art ~Plus a Freebie

Alright, as most of you know, I am teaching K this year (only) and so I haven't wanted to really do a lot of my usual craftivities because for
1. they are too hard for this year's Kinders and
2. My students (these students) can do them next year when they are in first grade.
So I wanted to come up with something SIMPLE and CUTE...easy for kids to do without a ton of work on my part.  This is what I came up with, I think they are adorable!

 Find it for only $2.50:
TPT

The supplemental pack goes along with the book, A Plump and Perky Turkey by Teresa Bateman.  Although the pack has writing prompts that go along with the book, some of the activities are perfect to stand alone, as is the glyph and art activity.

if you aren't familiar with it, you can also find the book on Amazon here!
and here is a video of the super cute book:

And now for a quick freebie found here:
