Christmas Ornaments

We worked on our ornaments today and I think I am in love!

First up are the reindeer/photo ornaments.  I LOVE these craft ornaments I ordered off Amazon, they open and are super easy to put things into and then they just pop back together! (link at the bottom of the post)
I let my students roll up brown paper and stuff the ornaments….

and then I added their photos to the other side and closed the ornament.  They painted eyes and then I hot glued the Rudolph nose.  We worked together on the antlers with pipe cleaners.

We also did the dual paint ornaments that are all over Pinterest.  I let the kids squeeze neon acrylic paint into the ornament, move around.  Then add a second color and move it around.

I think they turned out wonderfully for my first try!

  2. These are just adorable!!!!! Going to have to put this on my list for next year now! (and thanks for the link to plastic balls... I've been searching everywhere around here and came up empty handed. Don't know why I didn't think to order online...) My own kids have made those swirly ornaments for their teachers for the past few years now. Super easy and turn our adorable every time! (and so different too!)
