Have you heard of Sheila Jane Teaching? She does the "Teachers We Love" video series among other fun videos like, "What's in my Teacher Bag?" and "Classroom Cribs"...she is a hoot!
When she asked about interviewing me, I was a little nervous, but the fact she wanted to talk about craftivities and art...well, that is something I am always happy to talk about! What could I possibly share about crafts? Well, you'll have to watch the video and find out!
So what are you waiting for?? Watch the video! =)
So what are you waiting for?? Watch the video! =)
Be kind about the accent!
To celebrate the video, I am offering ALL the crafts I share in the video! ALL OF THEM! (and a new one or two!) All you have to do is follow some pages and, of course, watch the video! =)
If you have a moment to watch some of the other videos on Sheila's YouTube Chanel, you should! She's extremely talented and you should already be following her blog, Sprinkle Teaching Magic...she just shared a post about 4 NO cost teacher costumes that is GREAT!!

I love all you crafts! I use many of your crafts! I totally need to use volunteers to prep...this would require me to actually stay ahead of the game though and not be cutting out the night before I want to do the craft! The video is great! :)

ReplyDeleteWow...you really do have a twang to your voice! It's funny, I would have NEVER ever guessed you sounded like that! I really liked that I got to "see" you in "real life". Does that make sense? LOL
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting that :-) Bryn
Are your cut, color, etc. icons that you put on the board available in your TpT store? I also wanted to thank you for your post a month or so ago about the "Colorize your Classroom" contest. I was one of the state winners and 5 boxes of Astrobright paper arrived this week along with the gift card! My students and I are so excited!
ReplyDeleteI created those for myself (the original idea came from someone else that I credited on another post from a long time ago that I can't find right now) but my good friend, Miss Kindergarten, shared a set last summer: http://www.miss-kindergarten.com/2014/07/picture-direction-icons-plethora-of.html
DeleteYou can also search on TpT for "visual directions" and several sets come up =)
I need to order some Fixion pens!! I am also glad to hear that you do a lot of the prep work. I do as well, so it's always reassuring to hear I am not the only one with cutting and crafting prep at my house while I watch TV!
ReplyDeleteAlways looking for fun crafts to do with my K's. Would love to win this!!
ReplyDeleteToo much fun! The crafts are adorable. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the crafts and video! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAdorable!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you add craftivites to your lessons. I have never heard of Frixion pens. I will have to look those up! Your crafts are so cute!

ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the video! Love your ideas!
ReplyDeleteI am so going to buy some of those circle sponges!!!

ReplyDeleteLove, love, love your craftivities. I needed to get your sponge dot paint brushes when we did the pumpkins, they would've made it sooo much easier for my kids to make the polka dots!

ReplyDeleteI ♥ Sheila Jane's videos and your interview was wonderful! So many creative ideas! Thanks for the giveaway - Jen :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE your crafts! I have tried several of them before, and you are right. I am NOT an artist, but they always come out precious!! I also like how you organize everything in a Ziplock bag! My husband always tells anyone that he finds out is in education to buy stock in Ziplock! He's right! I do use hundreds of them every year! I would especially love your too cute Pilgrims! I'll keep my fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteThese are so stinking CUTE!
ReplyDeleteI love all of your craftivities!!
ReplyDeleteThis creativity is something I live for! It makes me so happy :) You are awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love the glyphs! I will have to remember the spray paint and circle sponges!
ReplyDeleteI didn't think it was possible but you are even more adorable in "person" than on your blog posts;) I now have a list of things I need for my craftivity time: circle sponges, twine, clothespins, and visual directions. I'm also very glad to hear someone else say "short & fat" or "long & tall"...my administrator didn't really appreciate these terms (she thought they weren't very PC and insisted I use "landscape" or horizontal and "portrait" or vertical). I would just love to have all your craftivities...fingers are crossed;)
ReplyDeleteYour crafts are so cute.
ReplyDeleteThese are so great! Thanks for sharing your ideas!
ReplyDeleteSo cute
ReplyDeleteI think it's a great idea to start or end a unit with a craftivity, and the kids LOVE it plus they are learning. I like to let the students choose. I think they always look cute but they don't have to look exactly the same or professionally done. Thanks for introducing the erasable marker and having this giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why, but I shared it.... but I might delete the share so I can win all the crafts! hah!
ReplyDeleteSuch great ideas! I love the idea of integrating the art projects with science, social studies, and math. Our art program got cut this year because of funding. I'm now thinking of all the ways I could fit these cute crafts in:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for introducing us to these 2 more creative ladies! You guys all rock!
ReplyDeleteI love all of these craftivities! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love all of your craftivies and finding out how you prepare!
ReplyDeleteCute video! It was good to "get to know" both of you a bit. Love your crafts. Love your classroom. Thank you for the tips! You are right...white glue is awesome!!
