Do you give your students free time? I do every Friday...with the push for constant academics, I feel like it's ok for kids to play a little- in fact, I feel like kids NEED to play.
I was asked by Lakeshore Learning to review one of their products new for 2015...I saw these Castle Blocks and KNEW my kids would LOVE them! They are SO nice...sturdy and you can just tell the kids will get years of use with them. I've bought blocks of all types ad styles, and these are by far the nicest ones I've seen!
The only issue I've had is convincing Jack to let me bring them to school!

ReplyDeleteMy first grade team and I have Fun Friday the last 30 minutes of the day each Friday. One of us always has Study Hall so that anyone who forgot their homework or had a bad week can chill and get their work done. Another one of us shows a movies and the other 2 do things like drawing, puppet making origami, blocks, puzzles, dancing, singing, etc. Fun Friday is something that we all look forward to each week. We work these 6 years olds so hard all week. They deserve a chance to be a 6 year old!!!
