Directed Drawing Tutorial for Reading Celebration Week {FREEBIE}

We've been out for snow all last week, so I am excited to get back into my classroom (my home away from home).  I am a little behind though from being out and this week being our Reading  Celebration makes it even more jam-packed with stuff to do!
One of the things on my to-do list is a directed drawing of a cat...fun, right?
I've had a lot of comments about folks having difficulty with directed drawings. To help those teachers out, I created a printable and a very quick video for you!  If you like it, leave a comment and I will do another for my leprechaun directed drawing from last year {HERE}
The video should prep you enough so that you can lead your class in their own directed drawings! =)
Click {HERE} for the printable of the directed drawing below.

I also finished my Alligator Close Read!  You can find it {HERE} and it's been added to my Close Read Bundle #2! (you may need to go download it again if you've already purchased it!)
 I hope you love it!

  21. This is probably a dumb question...with directed drawing are you JUST giving the verbal directions or are you doing the drawing up front along with them?

    1. Not a dumb question! I draw just as I do on the video with them, step by step (slower of course). There are times when they don't even know what we are going to draw! I just start with each part and they do it with me...they are so excited when they see what's revealed =)
