Mother's Day Craft... Freebie ...and Mini-Giveaway!

Mother's Day when I am in first grade involves our Mother's Day Tea and a lot of crafts and fun... but this year, it was sort of exciting to have the freedom to try something new.
*****
I went to Dollar Tree and purchased picture frames.  I gave my kids a skin colored circle, and they got to choose pieces of construction paper to re-create their hair and then draw their facial features.  The pink circles for cheeks was optional, but I think the whole project turned out SO stinkin' cute!
They glued their face to pre-cut scrapbook paper and we put it in the frame!

I gave them a framed box where they could write their mom a message, which added a special touch.
I loved the First Grade Parade's Mirror illustrations she shared a while back with paper frames, which were definitely an inspiration along with some of my kiddo craftivities of years gone by!
Check out Cara's post here

The following photos are from my Mother's Day pack which includes activities/craftivities and a glyph I use when teaching first grade
And if you want to do the frame art activity, here is a copy of the writing part and photos of the frame activity...hope you can use them! =)
